Project Manager - Perth CBD - Mega project / Full Turn-key - Gold and Copper Mining Facility Location:Perth WA Duration:Long-term contract role - signup to an initial 12 months Working Week: (Office) 5 days a week (Overtime applicable) + Site work dependent on the stage of project - includes uplift for site work. Rate:Negotiable - $1300 - $1500 AUD per day The Company A globally renowned EPC with a significant exposure to the world's largest mining projects. The Project Multi stage expansion project on One of the world's largest copper mines in the world producing an anticipated 400K Tonnes of copper Per Annum and 100K Tonnes of Gold per annum. The Role *Ensuring that the Project execution is consistent with the operating system requirements and core values of safety, integrity, teamwork and excellence. *Prepare, coordinate & review all elements of the project baseline documents *Execute all aspects of the project in accordance with the scope and contract. Duties & Responsibilities *Plan and execute project management on a medium sized, moderate risk EPC project or on an assigned segment of a larger project, including coordination of design, procurement, and construction activities. *Develop a complete understanding of the contract in order to provide full support to the project management team while working on segments of the larger projects. *Establishes and maintains safety, quality, and productivity where project work is being performed. *Provide strong, effective and decisive project leadership and establishes an execution framework to provide the quality, value, timeliness, and profitability of the total project execution (EPCM, commissioning, startup, and operations as appropriate to the project scope). *Provides an environment for the development and professional advancement of project personnel, including providing on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities. *Understanding of project controls and finance including scheduling, progress measurement, risk assessment, code of accounts, work breakdown structure, change management, cost control and estimating process and planning. The Requirements 1.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applicable field of study (Mechanical/Electrical/Structural/Civil) 2.10+ years of work-related experience. 3.4+ years of experience as a design or construction engineer on projects (EPCM Contracts) 4.Experience working in a senior capacity on a large mineral resources project 5.Experience managing the supply chain to remote areas 6.Good understanding of Design, Engineering, Procurement, Material Management, Construction and Commissioning, work processes, sequencing and interfaces 7.Demonstration of successful performance as Project Manager on a minimum of two small to medium sized projects or in significant positions on large to very large sized EPC projects.
