The Role
Lead and perform pipeline design and engineering activities associated with subsea pipeline construction and installation during tendering and detailed design stages.
You will be involved in all aspects of project phases from conceptual development, design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance. Responsibilities will include development of design, pipeline design, technology, installation, field development, FEED studies, conceptual work and front end studies
Responsibilities
*Perform engineering duties under supervision of the Lead Engineer or assigned Manager.
*Take responsibility for pipeline design engineering tasks performing associated calculations and analysis.
*Be proficient in writing and checking design reports and be able to present engineering results and conclusions in verbal and written format.
*Supervise and coordinate designers and draftsmen liaising closely with other project team members.
*Ensure compliance with corporate and project QMS & HSE procedures
*Show ability and willingness to tackle new tasks
The Requirements
*Bachelor or Master degree 2:1 or higher
*8 years + post-graduation experience of which at least 5 must involve subsea design experience with a design engineering consultancy, or construction organisation.
*Understanding of materials, insulation, and corrosion issues.
*Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, legislation and design methods.
*Ability to use initiative and direct and guide other team members
*Strong interpersonal / client facing skills
*Report writing experience with strong attention to detail
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to use relevant software.
