Core purpose of the Job:

Operate and maintains the Packet Core elements (PS core).

Context:

- Very high accuracy and responsibility.
- Daily routine tasks in the job (monitoring, health check and operating all PS nodes).
- Variable work pressure during day, night and emergency (Expansion, upgrade, reshuffling).
- High-speed rhythm is required.
- Communications with other 3rd parties (Firewall suppliers, and international carriers/Partners) and other teams in MTN Technical and IT (billing, IN, Engineering, maintenance, NMC, ISP, WAN) are required.
- High regulated work environment.

Key tasks:

- Operates and maintain the existing Packet core elements (SGSN, GGSN, Firewalls, DNSs, Core Switches and Routers).
- Handles troubleshooting activities to solve encountered network problems.
- Handles GRX, billing, ISP and customer complaints.
Implements and tests new services and features.
- Participates in the core network implementation activities.
- Performs periodic systems backup and secures archive files.
Responds to emergency cases.
- Define roaming database and execute the needed tests (Common tests).
- Prepare the needed statistical reports for network KPIs.
- Prepare inventory list of all switches modules.
