Supervisor, Customers Operations Job - Qatar National Broadband Network

As a member of our Technical Department and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor will schedule, supervise & manage work orders received from customers for service connection or disconnection.

Main Responsibilities & Duties include:

1- Receive Work orders & manage provision appointment dates
2- Approving requested appointment dates requested by service providers
3- Allocate engineers for testing & provisioning for home connected users
4- Coordinate with planning department for issuance of necessary work orders for connecting home passed users
5- Creation of work packs
6- Manage the installation & the acceptance of 3rd party work related to connecting home passed users prior to customer provisioning
7- Manage the work orders request related services disconnection
8- Monitor progress & close Work orders once completed
9- Follow up faults reported during provisioning until resolution & re-schedule appointment date accordingly
10- Jeopardy management
11- Ensure that all services provided to customers are being provisioned according to the agreed upon signed SLA
12- Gather all signed acceptance provision forms during customer visits including power meter tests, verify, consolidate then send to Commercial service desk.
13- Prepare related reports
14- Keep an updated database for provisioning activities

Engineer, Customer Operations Job - Qatar National Broadband Network

The basic function of this role is the implementation of work orders received from customers for service connection or disconnection. The post holder will be reporting to the Customers operations supervisor.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Testing of fiber network sections from CO till FTB.
• Trouble shoot & diagnose fiber optic cable faults.
• Repair Fiber faults.
• Carry out fiber splicing (mechanical & fusion).
• Supervise the installation & the acceptance of 3rd party work related to connecting home passed users prior to customer provisioning.
• Provision service to end customer premises.
• Carrying out patching at Telecom room or multiple locations.
• Fill in technical link test reports.
• Report back any links which are faulty to NOC discovered during provisioning.
• Ensure that all acceptance forms are duly filled & signed.
• Carrying out disconnection work orders.
• Coordination with customers operations supervisor for jeopardy management.
• Coordination with NOC/Help desk for accessing CO & TR locations.
• Prepare daily reports on provisioning activities.

To prepare data to implement and updates the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology to enhance Plants Integrity and Reliability in order to optimize inspection frequencies, maintenance cost and Plants Availability. To review project FEED proposals and design documents regarding material selection and mechanical integrity, perform shop and field inspections and review QA/QC documents, method statements etc. during project execution. Review Cathodic Protection (CP) data of plant underground piping, tanks, pipelines and jetty structures, and also conduct/supervise specialized surveys and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure that all mechanical maintenance activities relating to portable water plant, equipment and distribution infrastructure is carried out in a compliant manner and to a high standard so as to maximise plant availability and guarantee supply of a conforming product to customers.

The job is accountable for all mechanical maintenance activities concerning all potable water assets across the Jubail network. At present this comprises two desalination plants, three reverse osmosis plants and 32 pumping stations as well as the distribution networks.
Although the not having formal man-management/supervisory accountability over any Marafiq employees, the jobholder is required to supervise the activities of a team of external contractor staff on a 3 shift basis, 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. The jobholder is the first point of contact for the contractor in the reporting of any potable water maintenance issues.
