Project Controls Manager - Philippines - Coal Fired Power Station My client is an International Engineering & Construction company, have been awarded the EPC Contract for a 2 x 150 MW Coal Fired Boiler Power Project in the Philippines. As the EPC contractor they are responsible for the overall project management, base scope including overall civil, marine and BOP design for the complete power plant. They are also responsible for Integration of the power island contractor works and commissioning of the plant. They are now looking to engage a Project Controls Manager to lead the site based Project Controls team for this EPC project. The successful candidate for this position will be degree qualified with at least 10 years of professional experience, and their last project must have seen them working as a Project Controls Manager. In order to be considered for this position you must have project controls experience on at least 1 Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant project, and have experience of working in Project Controls outside of your country of origin. You will be required to operate in an inclusive and collaborative manner, taking the lead at resolving problems and be an excellent man manager, with great communication skills both up and down the chain of command. The Project Controls Manager will have overall responsibility for Field Project Controls, including cost, schedule, contracts, and material control. The primary functions of the team are as follows: *Leads the Project Controls Scheduling team in plan and schedule preparation, maintenance, and updating requirements. *Develops tools, systems and processes to accomplish project control work. *Recognizes issues and advises Project Field Manager on matters affecting project execution. *Maintains project schedule to ensure project is on time. *Leads the Project Cost Controls team in the preparation of baseline cost control deliverables, forecasting, and reporting. *Recognizes issues and advises Project Field Manager on matters affecting project execution. *Interfaces with project team to identify issues. *Participates in the monthly contractor management meeting. *Participates in the weekly site coordination meeting with all onsite contractors. *Participates in the weekly contractor meetings. *Adheres to safety and quality standards as applicable to duties and accountabilities.
