• Analyses work orders (Job Card) carefully to understand a vehicles condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed to.
• Asks the Service Advisor for clarification if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect.
• Determines which parts and tools will be required for a given repair or service and ensures their availability.
• Diagnose and complete repairs on customer vehicles and conducts routine service on vehicles before job termination.
• Documents any other vehicle problems noted during servicing.
• Documents completed work orders to include the repairs conducted, the parts required and the labor involved.
• Interacts directly with customers to explain vehicle problems and steps taken to correct the problems as needed.
• Write on the work order the repairs to be completed, the parts required, and the labour to be charged to get customer approval.
• Conducts routine service on vehicle
• Informs the Service Advisor if a part needs to be ordered.
• Ensures the security of all inventory and analyses the quality of parts.
• Ensures that all health and safety legislation and internal procedures are followed.
