As offshore supervisor you will assume all front-line management and supervision responsibilities for the safe, efficient and effective execution of all offshore work scopes including the management of specialist 3rd party subcontractors.
Key Requirements
Skills Required: • should have reasonable offshore experience, preferably in a similar role. • Applicants should have a broad knowledge of management reporting requirements, offshore safety systems/procedures and be able to clearly demonstrate safe behaviours that will contribute to the safety culture of the asset team. • Should have experience and be capable of planning and running major offshore shutdowns, including Vessel cleaning and coating activities and liaising with offshore client and main contractor management. Ideally possess: • Supervisory management • Safety Leadership • Safety Management • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications
Job Description
Ensuring that key interfaces between client's offshore management are developed and maintained to encourage effective working relationships and to provide efficient, cost effective support for all platform services, ensure compliance with competency and training requirements.
Main Responsibilities
• The Supervisor will be responsible for effectively leading and managing all personnel.
• The Supervisor will ensure that the platform team deliver against all client and company operational, HSEQ and commercial expectations and targets.
• Ideally this individual will have a trade skill from a core discipline of scaffolding, insulation or coatings and will have a good working knowledge of other disciplines. He will possess and be able to demonstrate good organisational and safety leadership skills.
• Adopt safe working practices and promote safety awareness and safety cultures.
• Inform platform and contractor management of all incidents, accidents and near misses as they occur and ensure that all relevant documentation is completed.
• Lead safety team meetings and ensure that Safety Audits are regularly and effectively completed.
• Record and communicate work scope progress, operational difficulties, and commercial variations and drive the management of change if appropriate.
• Manage daily time writing as required, ensuring correct cost code allocation of man hours.
• Demonstrate full understanding and control of Client commercial systems to support effective cost control.
• Ensure that our work scopes are planned efficiently in line with the client's plans.
• Manage our business in a cost effective manner and challenge the norm- particularly around access methodology.
• Manage our sub contractors and suppliers, and ensure that their HSEQ and commercial expectations are aligned to those of our client.
• Align the service team's goals to Client business drivers, and manage the team(s) accordingly.
• Ensure that the Supervisor takes responsibility as the single focal point for all activities on the platform including fabric maintenance, project teams, deck activities and access requirements.
Communicate our Company's goals and actively promote services.
• Create a succession plan for the platform which covers lead positions, and which identifies deputies from within the services team.
• Proactively identify and manage resource / emergency team shortfalls ensuring optimum utilisation of Salamis' resources.
• Use competency system, annually appraise all personnel onboard and provide feedback to all individuals. Provide a high standard of workmanship from the team by utilising technical support from onshore /offshore discipline representatives.
• Ensure that all work scopes are executed and recorded in accordance with legislative, client and company procedures.
• Ensure that the most efficient utilisation of all plant, equipment and materials results in our meeting our performance targets.
Ensure that all customer enquiries and demands are followed up and that any anticipated shortfalls are promptly identified.
