Educated to degree or similar level, probably supplemented by on the job training/career Development courses in Quality Assurance and HSSE Good working knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001 Extensive experience in both QA and QC techniques Experience in assessing competence of contractors and suppliers from a quality management viewpoint Experience in managing and leading construction site quality teams Knowledge of building/civil and road construction Good interpersonal skills with a flair for building internal and external networks at all organizational levels Target orientated and self motivated - able to work under minimum supervision Able to deliver presentations at a range of organizational levels Good technical authorship skills Excellent English knowledge
Job Description
Develop and implement the company QA and QC strategies for the execution construction scopes of work
· Monitor the performance of and provide assistance and guidance to the QA/QC personnel embedded in the construction site teams and provide functional guidance and assistance when required
· Conduct audits of the principal contractors, subcontractors and suppliers Quality Management
· Systems on a risk basis, as defined in the Project Audit Schedule
· Log corrective actions and track through to closure
Highlight overdue actions to the project management team
Manage the interface between the Independent Verification Body and the Construction Site Teams
Provide input to the Continuous Improvement Programme
