Oil Sands Business Development - Pilot Plant (Process Engineering)

Key Requirements

Degree in Applied Science / Engineering background preferred ideally Chemical Engineering / Processing and / or Metallurgy 8 - 10 years work experience in oil and gas, minerals or petrochemical industries and pilot facilities coupled with 5 years experience in a process engineering related sales role Well connected and strong knowledge with major players in Oil and Gas, Mining & Minerals. Self motivated with the proven ability to management multiple projects in a fast paced environment Passion for sales and the ability to identify, develop, follow through and close on opportunities. Solid communication skills and network to build relationships with external clients and internal personnel Strong influencing skills to identify the decision maker in a sales opportunity Expert of the minerals industry and trade practices within Oil Sands Solid knowledge of Oil Sands and upcoming projects within the industry preferred Understanding of MS Project Management and Oracle application would be an asset Office in Calgary with 50% - 70% travel in Alberta

Job Description

Reporting to the Director based in Alberta, you will be responsible for achieving established sales and profitability targets by:

Develop value - added services and utilization for Pilot Plant operations

Developing and collaborating to create sales proposals and responses to RFQ, RFP's and tenders

Meet existing customers throughout the region to assess performance, and grow business opportunities with both existing and new customers.

Working closely with technical team to ensure proposal project scope, schedules and budgets are accurately planned, monitored, communicated and achieved

Contributing to group sales intelligence and marketing initiatives including campaigns and strategies to promote the Pilot Plant and generating cross-selling opportunities between business units

Representing the Pilot Plant at trade shows and conferences
