Site Engineer (Bridges) Job - Parsons Corporation Jun 21st 2012, 07:14 POSITION OVERVIEW: Performs a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this level has experience and an increasing proficiency in the utilization of engineering theories and practices, and Company procedures. Typical project assignments are larger in scope, more difficult and varied than at the Associate Engineer level. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Construction Supervision of Major Highway and Interchange Projects including Roads, Bridges, Culverts, Retaining Walls, etc. Primary focus shall be on Structures (Bridges, culverts). Supervise team of surveyors, site inspectors, and materials inspectors. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: B.E. (Civil Engineering) 12 Years Experience, of which at least 10 in highway projects At least 5 years experience should be in a leader role of a minimum staff of 3 Must have a high command of written and spoken English Must have excellent working knowledge of post-tensioned box girder bridges, prestressed I-girder bridges, foundations, piling, reinforced walls, and other structures Must have safety awareness and training Must have working knowledge of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials Must have good knowledge of supervision procedures, record keeping, reports, etc. Must have full knowledge to perform technical reviews and evaluations Must have knowledge of international standards such as US, European standards and codes Must have ability to prepare technical reports Must be able to monitor and record progress Must have knowledge of the theory of land surveying and working experience of its application Must have working knowledge of surveying instruments Knowledge of AUTOCAD, Primavera/ MS Project, design software is a plus Job Details Date Posted: 2012-06-21 Job Location: Muscat, Oman Job Role: Engineering Company Industry: Construction; Consulting Services Preferred Candidate Career Level: Mid Career Degree: Bachelor's degree / higher diploma Apply Now - Jobs in Oman - Search All Jobs
