Job Description:
We are currently seeking qualified Senior Planning Engineer to work on a recognized project within the Western region. As a Senior Planning Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and providing planning advice with regard to critical schedule milestones. This role is a vital and integral part of our Supervision Division.
Other job responsibilities includes:
-He/she should study, analyse and approve or reject the Contractor's general, detailed and monthly programs.
-The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the Contractor's work progress at site in relation with the approved programs.
-He/she should monitor the Contractor's shop drawings and material submittals by creating and periodically updating a computer based shop drawings and material logs.
-He/she should follow up and monthly update the anticipated cash flow to be submitted by the Contractor (Planned versus Actual).
-The incumbent should study and comment on all Contractor's claims in relation to time and cost.
-He/she should prepare the work progress section in the monthly report in addition to schedules and graphs, etc.
-He/She should monitor and report on the material procurement status
-He/She should monitor and report on the labour/staff/equipment mobilization and status reports pertaining to safety
-The incumbent is responsible for instructing and coordinating the work for the computer analyst.
-He/she should control time and budgets by constantly reviewing the program and estimated construction costs as priced in the individual work item in the Bills Of Quantity in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor.
-He/she should be aware of the project status at all times.
-He/she should update the database at regular intervals.
-The incumbent should establish a computer based time and cost framework for the project
-He/she should keep records of weather conditions in conjunction the contractor.
-The incumbent should prepare bi-weekly reports on site progress, man power and resources.
-He/she shall carry out any other relevant duty as requested by his/her direct supervisor.
