Responsible to the AO On Aircraft SD&D Engineering Manager for co-ordination and support relating to the introduction into service of RSAF Tornado Aircraft Equipment and associated Organisational Level & Intermediate Level support solutions.
Co-ordination of engineering activities in KSA within the Aircraft Operations On Aircraft Solution Design & Delivery Department supporting the introduction into service of the of any changes to Aircraft and associated Organisational & Intermediate Level support solutions. This includes the following:
- Undertake Engineering support activities within the Avionics & Test Equipment disciplines on behalf of the AO On Aircraft SD&D Engineering Manager, including liaison with The Company Project / Engineering Managers, RSAF staff at both HQRSAF and Base level & subcontractors in the UK or KSA as appropriate.
-Co-ordinate and manage the production of Engineering related Life Cycle Management documents, Project Engineering Management Plans and Design Review Plans.
- Co-ordinate and manage ELC Design Review activities, including liaison with appropriate assessors across different Business Units, across a range of Projects and Bids being managed by AO (On Aircraft) SD&D.
- Support and co-ordinate the provision of Engineering related estimates / requirements for delivery of AO Tornado Solutions.
- Co-ordinate Engineering input into Change Management processes and documentation raised between The Company Saudi Arabia and UK based MA&I subcontractors.
- Monitor the progress of Tornado related Correspondence & Technical Queries prior to the RSAF formal acceptance of the Support solution and (where possible) ensure responses meet the Customer expectations.
- Coordination of Tornado Aircraft support systems deployment in general with specific emphasis on Avionic & Test equipment modification programmes. These programmes may include on-base Contractor Working Parties (CWP) and carousel programmes within KSA or between KSA and UK which will require close customer / company co-ordination in order to ensure success.
- Develop appropriate plans & documentation to manage Installation & Commissioning and Site Acceptance Test activities.
- Provide co-ordination for, and formal reporting, on the work of sub-contractors in support of Installation & Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing and related activities.
- Understand the Customer's viewpoint in resolving and preventing problems. Relay the Customers issues / concerns to the relevant personnel within HQRSAF, The Company SA HQ Riyadh and UK Tornado Project Teams as required.
- Provide an Engineering point of contact & liaison within the existing Tornado Integrated Support Team members at KAAB and in RSAF Headquarters.
- Provide Engineering support and if necessary plan / organise / manage working level Customer meetings / reviews related to the introduction of the Tornado capabilities on behalf of the AO On Aircraft SD&D Engineering Manager.
- Provide advice and engineering support to other members of the AO On Aircraft Engineering & Project Team and UK based Project teams on issues relating to the Tornado Aircraft.
- Make engineering decisions within his delegated authority as required.
- Provide status reports covering individual projects and specific issues to the AO on Aircraft SD&D Engineering Manager and wider AO Management as requested.
- Provide timely and correct Engineering related input to a variety of Projects covered by AO (On Aircraft) SD&D team on the Project Reporting System.
- Investigate and provide pertinent information for responses to formal Customer correspondence, including drafting of formal responses to be cleared through AO SD&D Management and into MODSAP for staffing to the RSAF.
- Draft written requests to the Saudi British Defence Co-operation Programme Office for assistance in obtaining a base pass at short notice, outside of the normal process.
