Review requests for modification and upgrading of equipment; discuss with originator to determine whether the modification is really needed and the expected improvement following such action; if feasible, suggest alternative solution to the issue and secure originator's agreement; refer recommendation to supervisor for further evaluation, approval and subsequently follow up on implementation to ensure compliance with specified parameters.
Study equipment incident reports and participate in investigations to determine cause(s) of the incident and recommend appropriate corrective and future preventive actions.
Participate in witnessing commissioning of newly installed equipment, as requested, to ascertain that the equipment and auxiliaries are in compliance with specifications.
Policies & Procedures:
Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Process Engineering activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of Process Engineering activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
