Process Operator Job May 14th 2012, 17:48 Part I - General Position Title : Process Operator Company: SFI / Jeddah Country: Saudi Arabia Group/Division: Production Department Reporting to: Shift Supervisor Part II - Broad Function • Handles the preparation of the wet raw material and the dry raw material in batches for wet and dry mixing. Handles the mixing of raw materials. • Tipping of dry and wet raw materials. Preparation of wet rework. Mixes all ingredients according to given instructions and checks-list. Part III - Principal Responsibilities - Professional Duties: • Checks the quantities of raw material received from warehouse. • Reports to shift leader any observed deviation or anomaly in the quality of raw materials. • Informs the shift leader in case the weight deviates from the target range. • Checks functioning of technical equipment. • Weighs the exact quantities of the required materials and arranges it so as to form mixes or lots. • Responsible for the continuous and assurance tipping of the raw material. • Samples the packed raw material in instructed intervals and checks the weight. • Cleans and strips bags of raw materials. • Watches constantly over the visual quality of raw material. Holds them in case of doubts and informs the superior immediately. • Inform laboratory if there are any pest or rodents activities for correction action. • Make dilution of Caramel & Date syrup as per the requirements. • Checks consumption per hour. • Discharges the dry-mix or wet-mix raw materials and arranges it in batch in to the hoper • Fills the checklist of ingredients. • Completes entries of required data in the raw materials preparation report. • Fills the process control sheets completely and correct. • Coordinates the operation with the control room, and Roller Dryer line to ensure continuous supply of mixed product for those lines. • Checks after every 1 hour the amount of used raw materials. • Responsible for the inventory of all raw materials in his area. • Cleans all the hopper and mixer in order to remove all products adhering to mixer or hopper paddle, ribbon and wall. Adheres strictly to standard procedures. • Adheres strictly to QMS and NGMP. - Environmental Duties: • Observes strict personal hygiene e.g. correct clothing and regular hands washing. • Keeps the preparation area clean and in good order; disposes of empty packaging materials as instructed. • Observes the standards of safety. • Ensures good housekeeping. • Keeps working area clean and tidy. • Cleans and strips bags of raw materials. • Participates in daily and weekly cleaning.
