Key Requirements
Degree in Business or Engineering 8 + years of experience in B2B sales within the Oil & Gas industry leading and developing successful sales teams Experiences in solution based selling, effective team builder, team player, innovative, entrepreneurial, adaptable, ethical, analytical, and decisive. Team player and ability to manage a sales team based in multiple locations in Western Canada ( focus initially will be building a team in Alberta - Calgary, Edmonton, Ft. McMurray) Demonstrated and reference-able history of closing business and brining significant revenue forward and in-depth sales techniques and financial analysis skills. Ability to interface with customers at a senior management level, coupled with existing relationships in the Canadian oil and gas companies that can be leveraged into new business Must be willing to travel up to 30% across the Western Provinces (to include Ft Mc Murray).
Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a newly created strategic role in the organization that continues to support the goal of establishing market leadership in the Alberta oil and gas sector. The primary function of this position is to build a new sales team and drive growth in four business lines by directly selecting, developing and managing. You are a seasoned revenue achiever and sales leader who is keen to take on this challenge to grow a specialized sales force. This role will also oversee and manage a skilled sales force and drive across the business. It is a hands-on position with front line sales responsibility.
Developing and execute the overall customer centric sales strategy to maximize vertical/geographical market penetration, increase market share; and to continue to develop service as a strategic advantage in order to achieve sales targets.
Lead a team of remote, multi district sales reps through effective hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and activity driven follow up to maximize sales results.
Collaborate with Business Development Managers to differentiate our existing and new product and services lines maximizing revenues and margins in new markets
A driven professional who can identify sound business opportunities and develop the strategies, tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition and have a personal desire to grow personally and professionally with each member of the team
Drives each element of the sales cycle including prospecting initiatives, proposals, RFP response and closing sales at operational, procurement and management levels of the target customer base of mid-large corporations.
Identify and manage significant up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within a broad service offering solution based selling.
Developing successful Key Account Management models and strategies
Create market intelligence gathering systems utilizing the company's market knowledge from field operations, line managers, sales team, and market sources.
