Leap29 are working with a major oil company on an FPSO conversion project. They have the need for a Hull and Marine Engineer to join their project team based in Korea. They are looking for the right candidate to start immediately for a 9-12 month contract.

Key Requirements

*FPSO experience is preferred
*Norway experience is preferred
*Educated in an engineering discipline (first degree preferred, HND minimum or equivalent)
*Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
*Fluent in English; Conversational Norwegian a benefit.

Job Description

Hull and Marine Engineer- Korea- 9-12 month contract Leap29 are working with a major oil company on an FPSO conversion project. They have the need for a Hull and Marine Engineer to join their project team based in Korea. They are looking for the right candidate to start immediately for a 9-12 month contract. You will be reporting to the topside engineering lead and be responsible for the technical communication the Project Team and the Engineering Contractors during detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases. Your workscope will include: *Assist with management of technical interfaces *Hull/Marine focal point for Knarr Project Team *Facilitate communication between the Knarr engineering team and contractors topside engineering team *Coordinate third party topside engineering studies, including validation and verification *Facilitate technical response to technical queries, dispensation request and deviation request *Provide technical input to non-conformance reports *Provide support to FPSO delivery team *Liaise with operations to ensure best practice for operability and maintainability are incorporated during the design phase, *Participate in PEER assists, PEER reviews, HSSE reviews and other value improving workshops *Pro-active member of the project team performing any tasks necessary to make the Knarr project a successWrite and coordinate engineering input to weekly and monthly reports *Perform any duties assigned by the Engineering Manager The right candidate will have: *FPSO experience is preferred *Norway experience is preferred *Educated in an engineering discipline (first degree preferred, HND minimum or equivalent) *Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment *Fluent in English; Conversational Norwegian a benefit.
