GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER (Sealing works for a Dam) Job - Huxley Associates Mar 28th 2012, 16:51 LOCATION: Oman - remote location PACKAGE: 9-12 month contract Salary negotiable depending on experience Accommodation provided on site Car and Fuel Tickets Medical 48 hour working week, six days per week. OVERIVEW: Geotechnical Resident Engineer responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the additional grouting (or diaphragm wall) works of a Dam. Should have at least 15yrs experience as a Geotechnical Engineer and have previously worked on Dams. ROLE: Will involve drilling holes to 80m target depth and pressure grouting in stages to supplement an existing grout curtain. Locally depths of drilling and grouting may be instructed up to a maximum of 125m. The work shall also entail some geotechnical investigation prior to and as part of the on-going drilling and grouting programme.
