Job Description
Senior Estimator-Civil/Mining Construction Location: Perth My client is a large construction contractor specialise in delivering large civil and Mining infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Due to the substantial growth and major projects win over the last year, they are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and work on major, complex civil and earthwork projects. The successful applicant will be experienced in major civil/mining infrastructure and construction projects and play a vital role in the future development of the Estimating function. You will assist the operations team in the analysis and recommendation of construction methods and selection of suitable subcontractors. Other responsibilities are also include identify detail and cost specific risks and opportunities associated with projects and the tender submissions, support the development of process improvement across the estimating function. The ideal candidate should possess: *Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or the relevant discipline *At least 8 years experience in estimating, particularly in civil/mining infrastructure projects in Australia *Extensive experience within a construction contractor environment *Demonstrated ability to plan and execute accurate multi-disciplinary tender submissions, as well as to plan, budget for and manage the bid preparation process *Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to present to peers and senior management.
