The role demands that close links are developed and maintained with other geosciences and engineering disciplines such as Geophysics, Petrophysics, Petroleum Engineering and Drilling. Key Requirements Effective interaction with other areas. Able to contribute actively to integrated studies with other disciplines (e.g., Geophysics, Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineering and Drilling). Demonstrate a good level of computer skills. Experience with leading geological applications is essential, standard suite of industry software (from Geoframe, Petrel). Must have strong communication skills along with an ability to work in a team environment (multicultural project team), as well as an ability to work unsupervised with initiative to resolve potential problems. At least 10 years of relevant working experience in development projects for the Oil&Gas industry. Fluent in English. French is highly considered. Bachelor's Degree in Geology or equivalent. Job Description Clastic Sedimentology Knowledge in: Principles of clastic sediment provenance, composition, transport and deposition to predict basic morphology and reservoir quality. Able to: Develop a clastic depositional model to create a quantitative assessment of reservoir and non-reservoir distribution. Map and interpret the environments of deposition and facies of the defined geobody. Integrate data sets to generate realistic 3D models. Structural Geology Knowledge in: Determination of geohistory, structural style and characteristics of structural traps, and generation of a consistent structural model. Able to: Generate a structural model from seismic well and outcrop surface data, consistent with the structural style in the area and the respecting stratigraphy. Create 2D and 3D structural models. Identify uncertainties and evaluate alternatives to determine strategies for exploration, appraisal and field development. Mapping and Correlation Techniques Knowledge in: Basic principles and techniques of contouring and cross section construction. Able to: Integrate all well data, dipmeter, isopach and seismic information to build validated structure maps and structural cross sections in prospect generation and field definition.
