An international oil and gas company is urgently seeking to recruit a Fabrication Manager Scope Reporting to the Director of Offshore Operations, this job is responsible for leading and managing all the onshore fabrication and construction activities at the fabrication yard for offshore projects covering the proposal, estimation and execution phases including HSE, construction engineering, fabrication construction supervision, contract subcontract management, inspection and quality control, participating in hiring the construction management team members, compliance with regulatory requirements, managing project costs, keeping the project on schedule, interfacing with regulatory authorities and turnover to the client.1. Responsibilities Represent OPO's interest in all onshore aspects for project fabrication and construction. Provide necessary input during project proposal and estimation stage. Responsible for the day-to-day construction management at fabrication yard. Prepare, supervises and approves the fabrication execution plan and its implementation. Ensuring lessons learned are properly documented. Provide direction to the project construction engineers. Ensure that the construction activities are managed as per the approved execution plan, project schedule and set budgets. It is the responsibility of the Fabrication Manager to monitor and report to the Project Manager Director on fabrication progress, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner. Manage the onshore construction effort and represent the company on all fabrication matters. Plan, develop, and organize the fabrication effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget. Coordinate the interface between Fabrication and Marine construction team, as well as safety and quality departments and external interfaces to the project. Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks and through the Company. Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures and work instructions. Approve all subcontractor payments including review and approval of invoices in accord with contract based on feedback from the Project Control group. Establish site safety requirements and assure a safe site with no fatalities, and a comprehensive accident prevention and investigation program. Develop and maintain a risk management plan to identify and pro-actively deal with project risks. Meet with subcontractors higher management to assess the fabrication progress and keep abreast of project issues. Provide written and verbal reports on fabrication progress and issues regularly to the Senior Management and others as required. Develop and maintain positive relations with the involved Authorities, local community and neighbors. Manage team building sessions between client, contractor and subcontractor fabrication teams.
