Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description
As a quality assurance manager your main tasks will include, but won't be limited to: - development, leadership and support for the local supplier quality group and quality programs - development of supplier consolidation strategies - coordination of internal and external audits and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions when required - reviewing and approving quality/inspection plans according to the applicable standards - development of problem solving methods identified during quality activities and liaising with the quality manager - development and continuous improvement of the system in compliance with ISO9001 and API Q1 quality standard requirements - improvement and support for the reporting of supplier performance scorecards - conducting process and quality system audits of suppliers Required qualifications and experience for a successful quality assurance manager: - Masters degree or professional experience in a related field - 5+ years of quality process experience (manufacturing or production environment) - 2+ years of management experience - certified as quality auditor or strong audit experience - preferably certified by the American Society for Quality as Six Sigma Green Belt - proven quality management skills and knowledge of quality management tools (Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, Gage R&R, FMEA, etc.) - experienced in data compilation for reporting purposes - computer literate familiar with MS Office, SAP and preferably with work safety and environmental management systems - preferably mechanics / hydraulics / electrics / electronics or software expertise - willing to travel for up to 20% of the time - very good communication, leadership and problem solving skills - fluent in English and good knowledge of the German language Salary / package / benefits: Very good salary and package discussed individually The client: The company is a well known specialist in developing of components and systems for subsea oil and gas exploration.
