The Industrial Technologies Division is looking for a Proposal Engineer for its Solutions initiatives. Based in the Middle East Regional Office, the Proposal Engineer is working with the sales and technical teams to provide quotations to any request of solutions from customers/distributors. During the project realization, it's the responsibility of the Application engineer to play the role of Project Coordinator with the various departments like order entry, various factories and vignate to ensure the timely and smooth delivery of the skids.
• Receive RFQ translate the need of the customer
• Define the adequate technical fit to the request
• Working with manufacturing and engg to check the feasibility, estimate and document proposed lead-time
• Build the proposal documents to customer as well as internal specification and margin tables.
• Prepare a bid preparation schedule for submission of bids; identify people responsible for various activities within predetermined timelines and a common understanding.
• Contact sub-contractor, factories and get quotes for external manufacturing, study or service
• Review of Project Schedule with all departments
• Compile and issue clarifications and requests to the client and share client feedback in terms of scope, additional information etc. with the team. Coordination of post-bid submission responses to clarifications raised by Client, including attending clarification meetings as required.
• Prepare accurate and economic costing of bids and assessment of risk including competition/market trends.
• To Coordinate with legal and credit departments in getting the necessary comments and feedback on legal and payment terms.
• At order entry, validate technical and price components of the quote
• Provide support during project realization and tests
• Set-up and compile required system documentation
• Coordinate and resolve any issues arising at site on scope of supply and any certifications in short to work closely with factories, credit and claims team until the project is handed over from our side.
• Provide business planning and reporting assistance to Project Area Sales Manager
•The position is office based in Dubai, however successful applicant may be required to attend sites visits whereby the working conditions will be more of an industrial nature. Applicants must be prepared for occasional international business travel throughout client's areas of operation
