MEP Engineer Job - Manpower Middle East Mar 21st 2012, 11:08 1. Acts as engineering technical expert, project manager and leader of the MEP Team and manages own projects. 2. Reviews and comments on project specific schematic designs. 3. Compiles detailed contract estimates for submission to customers.4. Reviews design development and 100% construction documents for conformance with DG Standards and industry standards, and ensures the accuracy of pricing and design. 5. Executes the contracts from receipt of order up to completion of the job.6. Manages development and updates of engineering templatesprototypes and engineering design standards. 7. Responsible for managing cost, schedule, and quality delivery of projects. Actively involved with managing revision costs. 8. Develops effective tools for tracking drawing production costs, revisions and consultant quality. 9. Notifies of material requirements at right time and ensures material deliveries are checked and proper documentation made.10. Assists project manager, supervisors with mentoring of new employees. 11. Provides project coverage for GM, DM during their absences from office. 12. Utilizes industry best practice standards to establish benchmark for design and construction processes. 13. Assists in developing departmental strategies for evaluating, training, hiring, scheduling, and managing staff effectively for consistency of project management. 14. Provides the GMDM performance feedback. 15. Disseminates current design standards and change request decisions to the GMDM on a timely basis. 16. Reviews escalated requests for information involving site conditions and partners with main contractors and other business partners to determine the most efficient solution that is practical for the business. Assists change order cost negotiations. 17. Performs MEP commissioning site visits regularly and as needed for high profile and problem projects. 18. Contributes to the success of the division through ongoing development and participation in the pilots and initiatives. 19. Provides ad hoc Facility Services, Store Operations and Real Estate engineering technical assistance and troubleshooting. 20.
