Lead Mechanical Engineer - Lifting Appliances - Netherlands Our client is one of the leading companies in assessment of business processes and products to internationally recognized standards with a strong presence in the marine and oil & gas industry. They currently have an interesting position for a Lead Mechanical Engineer in lifting appliances to be based in Netherlands which needs to be filled URGENTLY! YOU will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and be involved in structure designs of pipe-lay equipment and cranes. YOU will also liaise with the field surveyors and other contacts in various regions. Responsibilities: -Involved with design and construction codes according to rules and regulations -Structural analysis on offshore structures -Responsibilities in fabrication inspections and load testing -Working on lifting appliances and hoisting equipment -Effectively liaising with field inspectors which perform inspections -Building working relationships with colleagues in other European locations Requirements: -BSc/ MSc in Mechanical/Structural/Civil Engineering or any other relevant degree -10 years experience in structural engineering in hoisting equipment or lifting appliances -Experienced using Finite Element packages like FEMAP/NASTRAN, RSTAB, RFEM & STAAD -Interesting knowledge of welding, materials and NDE -Strong leadership and management qualities -Strong and effective communications skills -Good knowledge of various codes and standards in the offshore industry -Need to travel internationally occasionally If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role APPLY ASAP!!!
