In Egypt, Shell celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2011. It first entered the country in 1911 to operate two concessions in Gemsa and Hurghada. Today Shell has a number of joint ventures and interests in Egypt where most of its upstream operations are located in the Western Desert.
Responsibilities:
This position serves as a very important part of the Shell governance team overseeing Shells interests in Egypt. In particular, the job purposes are:
a. Coaching/mentoring of BaPetCo reservoir engineers
b. QA/QC of reservoir engineering work
c. Provide expert technical advice (reservoir simulation, waterflooding, etc)
d. Support the WRM team with conformance control for the waterfloods
e. Champion the introduction of new technologies
f. Support business planning and annual resource reporting
The reservoir engineer will be accountable for
1. Ensuring QA/QC of technical reservoir engineering work
2. Ensuring that relevant new technologies are introduced into BaPetCo
