Senior Offshore Structural Design Engineer Job - Future Career Generator Jun 22nd 2012, 16:16 On behalf of our client a leader in engineering, procurement, project management and construction services for the oil and gas industry we are seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Design Engineer to be located in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities • Enhance analysis and design capacity and manage structural engineering workload; • Be responsible to structural senior analysis and designer role in the company; • Maintain/develop technical skills, expertise, knowledge, data base, procedures and tools as required for analysis and structural design engineering aspects in the proposals (Incl. budget, …); • Support structural engineering design activities in projects and improve quality and efficiency; • Perform reliable structural analysis and design to satisfaction of classification societies, • Have a strong hand in design and develops and maintains links with other structural's who perform structural analysis/design activity • Preparation and presentation of applied in house structural software, technical input to Budgets and planning, • Provide engineering methodologies and maintains planning and workloads prediction updated, • Initiation and checks of structural deliverables (analysis, design, procedures, notes, reports etc), • Interfaces with other engineering specialists (naval, piping, operation, methods etc), • Maintains and develops design capability (FEM analysis and structural assessment of various support structures, mooring, installation engineering ...), • Maintains knowledge of design engineering input to fabrication yards for future projects, • Issues or checks technical part of requisitions, bid analysis and technicalities in purchase order, • Develops feedback dossiers from projects.
