On behalf of our client a leader in engineering, procurement, project management and construction services for the oil and gas industry we are seeking a Loss Prevention Engineer to be located in Saudi Arabia.
You will be responsible to perform safety design activities in accordance with project /client requirements and under the supervision of the Safety Lead or the Loss Prevention & Environmental Lead. Interface with other Project Specialists.
A) Bidding phase / Commercial proposal development
Provides Lead with computations, simulations, preparation of safety deliverables necessary to develop the technical proposal. Checks quality and suitability of calculations, sw simulations and deliverables prepared by the team
B) Project Execution
1. Reviews Contractual documents
2. Produces / Maintains technical documentation in its field of activity;
3. Participates to interdiscipline check of documents for its field of activity;
4. According its field of activity tasks may be as follow:
- performs the hazard identification and consequence evaluation;
- prepares the hazardous area classification drawings;
- prepares the specification of passive fire protection and fire & gas detection systems;
- prepares fireproofing, fire and gas detection, safety equipment locations and escape routes drawings;
- produces safety review reports;
- performs the risks analysis and/or reliability studies;
- verifies the correct implementation of the safety aspects in the design and vendors documentation through audits and reviews.
