My client is a successful international company in the oil and gas sector who are looking to expand their workforce. As Senior Petrophysicist your role will see you establishing the presence of oil and gas and assisting in calculating the amount of hydrocarbons in the reservoir. Essential Job Experience: 8 years experience Strong knowledge of carbonatite logging and horizontal wells Familiarity with carbonate environment wireline logging tools and data interpretation is essential Supervise logging operations Evaluate well logs and core analysis data Formulate reservoir models Assist in calculating amount of hydrocarbons in reservoir Advise on testing in exploration/appraisal and development wells Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic Qualifications: 8 years experience in Petroleum Engineering Including 5 years experience in Petrophysical Engineering Education Requirements: Minimum BSc in Petroleum/Mining/Physics or similar subject Applicant Requirements: Determine the well logging program and submit recommendations Attend well sites when required, to supervise the logging operations of the critical wells Receive analyze and evaluate logs and core data using different computerized packages. Liaise with the geology and Reservoir Engineering Staff Evaluate production logs PLT & TDT Establish and maintain records Carry out petrophysical field studies Prepare details well evaluation reports Additional added beneficial skills: Keep abreast of key developments in petrophysical Engineering Frequent contacts within all levels within the company Ability to work independently and devise own work methods Salary/benefits and package There is an excellent salary and package on offer for the successful applicant.
