Reports to the Maintenance Manager
Role: Supervise the Electrical, Instrument & Control Technicians
Location: Close to Medinat Zayed City
Working schedule: 5WD per week - 8 h (with some restrictions)
Contract Duration : 2 years
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
During Plant pre start-up phase:
1. Participate in Plant commissioning activities, raise E& I&C punch list items and warranty claims as appropriate. Attend training programme sessions. Learn, support & assist in the continuous improvement of HSSEQ policies & procedures. Review vendors' documents, maintenance manuals & spare parts lists. Draft Electrical & Instruments maintenance procedures necessary for Plant operations & participate in CMMS development & implementation.
During Plant operational phase:
2. Enforce Company HSSE & Quality policies & procedures, & ensure that all HSSE measures & precautions are strictly considered & taken care of during the execution of Maintenance activities to avoid any activity which might lead to Health Safety & Environment incidents / non-conformance.
3. Manage subordinates E& I&C contractors, directly guide, supervise & assume responsibility for the performance of the direct report E& I&C maintenance personnel.
4. Ensure individuals' development, especially UAE Nationals.
5. Manage, Raise, Review Work Permits for each job performed by E& I&C team as required by Company procedures.
6. Perform frequent on-site inspections to ensure proper work execution & check on direct hire & contract technicians activities.
7. Supervise & coordinate E& I&C day to-day maintenance activities, rectify defects as appropriate, manage emergency repairs & trouble-shooting activities to immediately determine the cause of failures & identify how to prevent failures in the future.
8. Supervise E& I&C workshop & staff activities, regarding maintenance work execution. Coordinate E& I&C support with both the PASS System & DCS Engineer.
9. Manage & coordinate preparation of E& I&C maintenance activities with the plant Planner, ensure materials required for job performance are available in correct quantity and quality, ensure Maintenance plans are carried out on-time & that tasks performed are properly recorded in CMMS.
10. Participate in Plant performance & availability improvements & operations & maintenance cost reduction plans by highlighting defects/issues in the Plant design or installation. Propose implementation & modification plans to E& I&C equipment. Manage department to reduce equipment downtime & ensure high Plant availability. Identify operationing trends, provide analysis of root causes & recommend implementation corrective action plans to support continuous improvement of the Plant operations.
11. Assist in preparing Maintenance budget, work cost estimates, purchase orders & contracts for E& I&C maintenance activities in coordination with management and personnel in charge.
12. Monitor E& I&C maintenance activities cost, & take necessary corrective actions to ensure compliance with approved plans & budgets.
13. Ensure staff & Contractors have all needed resources & tools to properly & safely conduct E& I&C maintenance activities effectively & according to appropriate contract terms & conditions.
14. Evaluate pertinent reports related to cost & progress of E& I&C maintenance activities & transmit analysis to Maintenance Manager, issue reports as required for maintenance department.
15. Recommend new maintenance plans, procedures & schedules for E& I&C equipment.
16. Review E& I&C equipment spare parts lists and recommend parts inventory & stock levels.
17. Participate in Plant scheduled shutdowns & turnarounds.
18. Perform other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
