•Coordinating and having input into the development of project planning and programme
•Identification and use of best materials prices and subcontract prices
•Managing Quantity take offs and checks from specifications and drawings
•Obtain information regarding the estimated costs, labor and materials involved in completing a project
•Schedule and coordinate the bid development activities to produce thoughtfully conceived proposals
•Ensure completed bids are professional in presentation, delivered on time and in compliance with the specifications noted in the customer's bid request
•Demonstrate strong leadership skills and motivate the tendering team to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
• Determine the time required to complete bids and develop realistic work plans
•Oversee the creation of pre-bid documentation and presentations for potential customers
•Produce the tendering plan and establish the tendering team which typically includes representation from a company's financial, legal, projects and commercial departments
•Work closely with other key managers to estimate project costs and track completion of written assignments
•Organize bid distribution logistics, including the management approval process
