Project Procurement Manager with strong experience in petrochemicals plants

Key Requirements

Proven experience Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing management for industrial plant equipment, particularly for significant international projects in the petrochemical, oil and gas sector. Minimum requirements • BSc in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. • Leadership, Negotiation and Communication skills. • Used to coordinating and managing purchasing groups. • Familiar with industrial plant equipment, materials and strong supplier contacts. • Willingness to travel. Candidates shall be ready to perform part of the work in other countries as required (worldwide mobility applies to both short and long term assignments). • Excellent English language skills. • Spanish language skills

Project Procurement Manager, Madrid

(relocation to spain provided)

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the management of all procurement activities involved in the project (purchasing, expediting, inspection and traffic and custom clearance).

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all procurement activities of the Project, including those to be carried out by the local and site Procurement Offices.

• Understand the project policies, procedures and schedules and other guidelines defined by the Project Director and prepare the procurement procedures.

• Coordinate the buyers, expeditors and inspectors to carry out smoothly the procurement activities, such as the preparation of vendor list, inquiry and bid analysis, placement of the purchase orders, expediting, inspection and shipping coordination for the equipment and materials and required spare parts.

• Prepare the additional vendor list together with the qualification documents of the additional vendors and obtain the approval from the Project Director and Client.
