Farouk Medical Center is seeking a highly qualified person for the position of Maintenance Manager. He/she will direct, plan and organize the overall operation of the Maintenance Department. His/her duties includes overseeing operations, participate in the overall planning and implementation of center services and programs. Ensure that life safety, environmental safety and emergency preparedness standards are maintained and comply with accreditation and other regulatory standards and emergency preparedness response. Oversee the following engineering maintenance of the power plant (i.e. heat, hot water, electrical power, generators). Provide regular preventative &grounds maintenance, equipment and attention to building systems, Medical equipment's commissioning & acceptance: (supervising installation, qualitative and quantitative performance tests, safety tests (electrical, radiation…etc), Evaluating regularly the equipment's performance by calculating uptime on a periodic basis and analyzing, Preparing requisitions for spare parts procurement, Environmental services providing recycling, control of infectious waste, hazardous materials and hazardous materials disposition. Provide life safety management maintaining all aspects of health and safety programs and regulatory compliance. Provide equipment management preventative maintenance on center equipment, including medical equipment used in the treatment of patients. He/she must ensure the delivery of high quality care in a safe environment. Coordinate with Infection Control and other departments to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors are not jeopardize. Shall ensure department services are available 24/7 to respond to emergencies. Continuously monitor and occasionally procure repairs to the center's building components. Mitigate potential emergencies by developing emergency preparedness and evacuation planning. Conduct all activities relating to the design, execution of repairs and renovation projects. Tend to administrative and management matters; resolving conflicts; and assisting in budget preparation and control, conducting research to solve clinical problems using a variety of means to collate the necessary information, including questionnaires, interviews and group conferences. Maintenance Manager should be knowledgeable in biomedical field and management principles in order to be efficient and effective in this key position to be able to manage biomedical equipment maintenance services. Shall be a team player; must have good work ethics and strong communication skills; experience in supervising others and measuring their performance; and attentive to details.
