My client is an Oman based Power and Water company who are responsible for ensuring that the growing demand for electricity and water in the Sultanate is met.

Key Requirements

The successful Senior Project Development Manager will need a Bachelors degree in any related discipline. A Masters in Business Administration specializing in project management is a benefit. Also required is a minimum of 7 years' experience in the Gulf Region in the area of electricity and water generation. The Senior Project Development Manager will need to combine a technical understanding of power plant operation with a commercial understanding of project development and project planning / resource scheduling.

Job Description

Muscat, Oman Salary Negotiable My client is an Oman based Power and Water company who are responsible for ensuring that the growing demand for electricity and water in the Sultanate is met. They are looking for a Senior Project Development Manager who is responsible for monitoring and coordinating various resources, including contractors and consultants, within the limits of the licenses, sector law and agreement. The successful Senior Project Development Manager will ensure timely completion through the conceptual stages of a new project to commercial close of the Power (and / or) Water Purchase Agreements and handover of the project to the Project Implementation Team. Key responsibilities include: *Contributing to the long-term planning process, including energy studies *Supporting the development of tariff and financial models to suit system operation and dispatch *Considering long term project development and provision of resources *Managing the financial systems for the project, including tracking expenses against budget *Managing the procurement of contracts and services *Progressing the project strategy and managing the Consortia team as required *Coordinating with Boards and Committees to ensure timely preparation of the tender documentation with accurate scope of work *Coordinating with senior managers and liaising when required with government, authorities and ministries for all types of approvals in order to complete the project within the rules and regulation of the government *Appreciating the associated commercial and technical challenges of the project *Providing monthly reports on progress of projects highlighting the challenges and any deviations from scope and agreement in order to take timely actions to mitigate risks and deviations *Guiding project development managers by providing them with technical guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that subordinates are developed for higher-level roles The successful Senior Project Development Manager will need a Bachelors degree in any related discipline.
