Deal with equipment with scope including MV and LV switchgear and power distribution, electrical rotating equipment, DCS- and PLC-based control systems with diverse field instrumentation, CCTV, public address and firefighting systems.
Able to demonstrate hands-on and supervisory experience with a broad range of electrical and instrumentation equipment, and be able to take on a number of important day-to-day assignments, including:
•Troubleshooting and proposing solutions for electrical equipment problems
•Identifying root causes and solutions for instrumentation and control systems problems
•Directing the work of E/I Maintenance Technicians and assisting them in the implementation of both routine maintenance activities and repairs
•Allocation of work assignments based on urgency, individual's experience, and coordination with operations and mechanical maintenance activities
•Organizing teams or individuals to make sure that 24-hour cover is available
•Coordination with outside maintenance organizations for specialist (suppliers') assistance
•Organizing predictive/preventive maintenance and routine servicing schedules
•Maintaining the required paperwork and ensuring that the plant's asset management database is up to date
•Serving as mentor and trainer for junior technicians
•Participating in training where appropriate to advance personal and corporate capabilities
•Contributing to the set-up and operation of plant maintenance/spare parts organization, including budget allocations
•Assisting in the selection, hiring, and career development of E/I Technicians
