My client based in Azerbaijan are looking to recruit a Mechanical Estimator to join their centralised estimation department. You will work together with other estimators of other disciplines and departments.
Key Requirements
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Work within the O&G Industry EXPERIENCE ? Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical estimator in the construction industry. Experience in Mechanical estimation within the oil and gas industry SKILLS/TRAINING Ability to communicate and complete documentation in English. Must have good computer skills (work, excel) Ability to communicate effectively in Azerbaijani and intercultural communication
Job Description
Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality
? Carry out work activities in accordance with all HSEQ requirements and procedures
? Carry out personal risk assessments and any other health and safety requirements to ensure personal safety
? Conduct yourself in a safe manner and in a manner to protect the safety of others
Operational Responsibilities
? Evaluate tender documentation and establish scope of works for the compilation of a comprehensive client proposal.
? Send enquiries and obtain competitive quotations from various suppliers to ensure company remains competitive.
? Identify any contractual conditions from client which would impact financially on company and highlight these to line manager prior to submitting proposal.
? Identify and implement improvements in company estimating processes, liaise with line manager and project team in the event of contract award.
? Carry out estimating handover meetings to project team upon contract award.
? Ensure enquiries are logged in accordance with the company QA system.
? Log incoming enquiries and inform line manager of new / incoming enquiries.
? Provide control of estimating drawings or documents for proposals and file in accordance with company procedures.
? Ensure timely preparation of tenders.
? Ensure Enquiry files are set up, maintained and accessible for line manager / accounts department.
? Attend contract award meetings and kick off meetings as required by line manager.
? Answer tender clarifications from clients in a timely and efficient manner to ensure company complies with tender requirements.
? Produce and submit bills of quantities, schedule of rates and labour rates as required by the client.
? Send regular updates to line manager regarding possible contract awards and departmental concerns.
? Review and update proposals as required by the client.
Administrative / Leadership Responsibilities
? Complete all required information on required documentation in accordance with Rapid Solutions procedures and client specific requirements.
Competence Assurance System Responsibilities
? Ensure assessment induction process and checklist are completed in accordance with procedures
? Actively participate in the Competence Assurance System to confirm personal competence within job role in accordance with procedures
? Participate in the performance appraisal process in accordance with Rapid Solutions procedures and within agreed timescale
