Senior Procurement Expert (#111756082) May 16th 2012, 18:00 Posted: 16 May 2012 at 18:00   Expires: 15 July 2012 at 18:00 Posted In: Supply Chain/Procurement > Buyer/Purchasing Location: Austria Senior Procurement Expert Key Requirements Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a major Oil & Gas company or relevant construction company; Previous pipeline experience- A MUST The ideal candidate should have experience in the 3 following areas: Line pipe, valves, compressors (a minimum of 2 areas is required) Significant experience in procurement and contracting at the planning and implementation phases; Excellent knowledge of the functions of procurement, expediting, logistics, construction contracts, material control and quality management; Capable of exercising considerable judgment and initiative in setting policy for the planning and implementation of procurement activities; Robust market knowledge of the line pipe, valve and compressor markets; Strong presenter with ability to balance numerous factors in setting optimal procurement plans; Relevant university degree strongly preferred, can be substituted for relevant experience and industry qualifications. Job Description Establish procurement strategies for definition of long-lead-item (LLI) packages and associated materials together with the Project Management and Technical Teams; Prepare the procurement plans, assist in the scheduling of the LLI packaging and participate in the preparation and stewardship of controls budgets; In association with Legal, finalize the contractual terms & conditions for LLI contracts and purchase orders; Prepare and update the bidders list for LLIs; Prepare and execute contractual documents in accordance with guidelines.
