Job Description
Leap29 is actively looking for the assistance of a well experience topside modification engineer. This stellar opportunity is with a major operator with offices in Stavanger. The project involves excess gas from a field has been re-injected into another area since start up in 1999. This gas can now be exported without being detrimental to the oil production. The selected concept is to build a pipeline from the FPSO to the subsea facilities which is tied in to a large facility owned by another operator. The export project extends field life by 2-3 years and add reserves (including base extension) The project will start Execution stage in mid June 2012. The topside modifications will be performed by a EPC(i) (Engineering, Procurement, prefab and onshore construction) contractor. The FPSO contractor will be responsible for offshore installation work and commissioning. The subsea scope including riser pull in to FPSO will be handled by a EPCI Pipeline Contractor . Role and key responsibilities This position includes, but is not limited to: - Be the project team responsible person for handling of general multi discipline technical issues regarding topside - during detail design, procurement, pre-fabrication and installation - Support the Operations Lead engineer on planning and execution of MC/commissioning. - Be the focal point for following up the topside EPC(i) contract - Act as a coordinator towards the company`s TA's regarding see-to-it verifications/reviews, and handling of non-compliances - Play vital role in the management of change process towards externally and internally in the company - Contribute to efficient interface management - Monitor and ensure that contractors fulfill their obligations as facility owner with regards to the Norwegian regulations, e.g. verifications/reviews, TA involvement, DNV approvals etc - Contribute to good short- and long-term integrated planning of field offshore activities to assert the Project interests - Support development of an efficient preventive maintenance program - Contribute to spare part analysis - Contribute to stakeholder management, license partners and Authorities - Participate in design reviews where relevant (HAZOP's, HAZIDs etc) - Interact with BG, owner of facility, regarding issues such as new telemetric link, inter-field control/shutdown etc - Lead development of PDS required work processes and documents such as as "Detailed Design Deliverables" Travels It is assumed that the position requires frequent travelling to Trondheim for meetings with contractors. The person will also need to attend some meetings with BG in Aberdeen and the flow assurance Contractor in London.
