Key Requirements To be suitable for this position the ideal flexible pipeline engineer will have experience of: *Extensive experience in subsea structure design and calculations in the North sea and familiar with NORSOK standards *Experience with calculation programs ORCAFLEX etc, ability to evaluate modeling and calculation results Job Description Large International Operator - Flexible Pipeline Engineer urgently required in Stavanger *Long term, high profile project *Excellent rates available *Multicultural environment The Flexible Pipeline engineer will be responsible for: *Through follow-up and supervision of the engineering contractor, assure that the flexible pipeline design is fit for purpose, within the set timeframe and within budget. *Ensure that engineering studies comply with Norwegian rules and regulations, company HSE and QA/QC requirements and applicable general specifications. *Ensure the compliance of the work with basis of design, project specifications and procedure for exceptions/deviations. *Ensure the compliance of the work with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices with the aim of reducing investments as much as possible without negatively influencing the required level of quality and safety in design Specific duties will include: *To ensure that flexible pipelines are designed in accordance to statutory regulations and guidelines *To control and validate scope of work for the flexible pipeline discipline in Detail engineering *To coordinate the mechanical and piping activity with the rest of the project. *To respect HSE including work environment rules and ensure that they are respected at all times, reporting any irregularities. *To participate in evaluation of CFT documents for SURF contract in the flexible pipeline discipline. *To prepare input to the weekly report for the flexible pipeline discipline. *Co-ordinate activities with other disciplines. *To prepare the documentation necessary to implement modification requests *Co-ordinate the flexible pipeline studies To be suitable for this position the ideal flexible pipeline engineer will have experience of: *Extensive experience in subsea structure design and calculations in the North sea and familiar with NORSOK standards *Experience with calculation programs ORCAFLEX etc, ability to evaluate modeling and calculation results For more details on this flexible pipeline engineer role and other contract opportunities in Norway please contact Simon at Leap29 Apply for this oil and gas job
