Senior Operations Geologist Job - Earth Stream Jun 8th 2012, 10:41 Our Client - is a leading E&P operator with projects worldwide and they are currently looking for a Senior Operations Geologist for one of their projects in Kurdistan, 28/28 rotation. Job Description - - Liaise between Operations & Exploration Teams at all stages of drilling projects - Assist in geological planning of drilling projects & preparation of pre-drill documents - Cooperate with geoscientists and reservoir engineers to amend geological models during and after drilling - Supervision & co-ordination of all aspects of well site geological operation to ensure well objectives are safely met. - Manage & provide support to Well site Geologist, including quick-look interpretation of geological & formation evaluation data - Ensure well-site geologists are completely aware of Company requirements and ensure effective communication to drilling personnel - Provide input for tendering & contracts preparation, with a focus on formation evaluation services (e.g.: LWD & wire line logging, mud logging, coring, core analysis, sample analysis etc.) - Liaise with, & co-ordinate, geological formation evaluation contractors, in discussion with rest of the Operations Team; includes service call-out, invoice checking & service quality reviews etc. as required - Responsible for receiving & handling and timely distribution of all geological well data, logs & reports - Preparation & delivery of G&G part of Final Well Report (includes Composite Log) & Lessons Learnt Report - Assist in Peer Reviews & Lessons learnt meetings for drilling projects in Kurdistan, as required Candidate Requirements - - Master Degree in Geological Sciences - 10 years relevant working experience - International experience in various cultural environments and operated exploration ventures EarthStream is a specialist global recruiting business dedicated to the energy, resources & environment sectors that is uniquely positioned to understand the interplay and increasing convergence between these sectors.
