Develop and implement quantity surveying policies and procedures for QBC contracting division
Develop short and long term goals to manage and achieve the Quantity Surveying Department's goals in order to meet the overall objective of QBC Contracting Division
Manage and support subordinates to perform quantity surveying (value completed work and related payments) for sites and projects
Determine the value of post-contract construction costs, revenues and resources based on the BOQ and specifications
Review, analyse and re-validate all inquiries prepared at the tender phase to consultants, suppliers, and sub-Contractors and provide appropriate recommendations to Project Managers, Procurement Manager, and Operations Manager
Measure, monitor and evaluate the performance of the project with respect to budgeted costs, revenues and resource versus actual costs, revenues and resources and provide weekly reports to the Operations Manager
Verify the accuracy of quantity surveying data including measurements and calculations conducted at surveyed sites (i.e. materials cost of installation)
Review and finalize all quantity surveying reports and analysis required to do the billing for clients and subcontractors
Review the draft monthly valuations and subcontractor's payments prepared by the Project QS and negotiate its value with the Client/Engineer, if necessary, prior to its submittal for final approval
Review all reports prepared by subordinates and prepare periodic reports with respect to the quantity surveying activities and achievements to be submitted to the Operations Manager
Practice duties and roles in line with the authorities as illustrated in the authority matrices and as assigned by the Operations Manager
