Process Engineer – Sea Water Cooling - MARAFIQ Job - Marafiq Jun 27th 2012, 13:58 Job Description for (Process Engineer - Sea Water Cooling) : Job Purpose : Monitor and test performance of equipment's and auxiliaries in the water area to ensure proper operation and compliance with established parameters in order to deliver uninterrupted service and product to the customer. Need to have good experience in Sea Water Cooling Process. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Daily Activities:  Attend daily meeting with operations and maintenance to review status of plant over the past 24-hours and learn what is planned for the day.  Tour the plant - water area - to observe operations, check for abnormal situations, and take readings of main parameters and collect data from control room and field operators for analysis and review.  Review Laboratory reports; follow up on reported deviations to ensure they were corrected.  Review notifications raised by operations and maintenance to determine whether or not all the recommended notifications have been raised  Monitor and test water area equipment, chemical reagents, fuel oils, etc. to ensure compliance with established specifications as and when required. Job Context: The position reports to the Lead Process Engineer. The jobholder is responsible to monitor and test performance of equipment and auxiliaries in the water area to ensure proper operations and compliance with established parameters for delivering uninterrupted service to the customers. The job holder is challenged to stay abreast of developments and innovations in the field, determine what is suitable for deployment in the company and raise appropriate recommendations. The jobholder is exposed to normal plant conditions - fumes, heat, noise, high voltage, high speed rotating equipment, etc. Minimum Qualifications:  University degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Minimum Experience:  5 years' mechanical or process engineering in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.  Experience of managing/costing projects involving external contractors.  1 - 2 years' project costing experience involving the use of relevant software.  Experience of technical evaluation of design options.
