OVERVIEW:
Our client is currently seeking inspection supervisors to be based in Yanbu and Jeddah.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-Minimum of 12 years experience
-API certification
-Ability to continuously drive for process improvement.
-Ability to instruct and train subordinates effectively, Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
-Knowledge of specialty base oil refining technologies (Vacuum distillation, Propane de- asphalting, Furfural extraction, MEK solvent dewaxing, Catalytic dewaxing, H2 plant, Sulphur plant)
-Strong Technical knowledge of metals/materials and their properties
-Good interpersonal communication skills
-Good knowledge of process units in a refinery setting
RESPONSIBLITIES:
-Review Worksheets and Inspection Reports as well as related meetings. Review and approve all major modifications to the Process Units, Utilities and Static Pressure Equipment. -Monitor Budget & Review long term contractor invoices
-Supervise and conduct inspection For all equipment in VDU, PDA, FEU, MEK, Utility and Offsite Area Including piping corridor and wharf lines for Jeddah plant. Utilizing Best -Inspection Practices & applying proven inspection technologies
-Provide support to the Maintenance Department on routine static pressure equipment breakdowns along with a description of repair priority, breakdown locations and maintenance actions to be taken.
-Develop and maintain on stream inspection program to insure integrity of piping and equipments. Ensure that the daily on-stream inspection activities, including external, non-destructive and process parameters inspections, are in accordance with Safety Company Policy and Inspection Philosophy & Policy.
-Provide functional Supervision to Area Inspectors and support them in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities ensuring proper qualification & Certfication for used in House & third party NDT/plant inspectors.
Encourage and control the implementation of Refinery Standards in areas of health, safety, quality and performance, and ensure that Area Inspectors are familiar and well-informed with the same.
-Review & approve issued Inspection reports ensuring recommendation are well alligned with company strategies and Issue inspection weekly & monthly reports
-Participate in the development, implementation and updating of the Inspection Strategies and -Risk-Based Inspection Plans in line with company objectives and industry best practices.
-Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism. Assist in the design and implementation of the Engineers' Development Program.
-Perform any other job related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
