Key Result Areas (KRAs) - Job Purpose
Responsible to the I&E Superintendent for problem solving and development of instrumentation on the Q-Chem plants. Provides technical assistance on Instrument matters to Maintenance personnel. Works with control systems engineers and technicians.
Detailed Tasks / Activities
Instrumentation design input to plant modifications and improvements. Supervises installation and commissioning of on-plant modification, often on operational plant.
Assist I&E Superintendent in identifying improvements to instrumentation systems. Participates in the implementation of ISO 9000 Series Quality Management systems and concepts.
Carry out detail design on smaller on-plant modifications, provide instrument input to work scopes and bid invitations on larger modifications.
Take particular responsibility for the long term health of all process analyzers and custody transfer metering systems, along with tank management systems.
Assist with and provide field instrument to work requirement for planned turnarounds. Also, provides day to day engineering assistance to Maintenance Department.
Ensures safety of personnel and equipment through compliance with all EHS policies, procedures and standards.
Assists in the delivery of training and development programs for Qataris, in accordance with established Company policy.
Liaise with control systems engineers and technicians, providing field instrument expertise to problem solving on plant instrument loops.
