Field Operator, STG Job - Marafiq Jun 2nd 2012, 08:03 Review with outgoing shift operator shift activities: how the unit operated during the shift, readings, parameters, log sheets, isolations, etc., coordinate with the Assistant Shift Charge Engineer to progress unfinished work from previous shift to completion, receive work assignments and daily work plan for the shift from Assistant Shift Charge Engineer. Check readings, alarms, protection relays, etc. on the local compartment (Monitor) and report abnormalities or deviations to Control Room and Assistant Shift Charge Engineer or advice and further action. Turbines: Check oil levels, pressure gauges, flow meters, thermometers, water levels, lube oil levels, Hydrogen pressure and temperature, leaks, abnormal sounds and smells, etc. and if abnormalities or deviations are determined to be at high level communicate with Control Room and Assistant Shift Charge Engineer for advice and further action. Operate Feed water system, sealing system and all related auxiliaries.
