Engineer, Customer Operations Job - Qatar National Broadband Network Jun 5th 2012, 05:42 The basic function of this role is the implementation of work orders received from customers for service connection or disconnection. The post holder will be reporting to the Customers operations supervisor. The main responsibilities of this role are: • Testing of fiber network sections from CO till FTB. • Trouble shoot & diagnose fiber optic cable faults. • Repair Fiber faults. • Carry out fiber splicing (mechanical & fusion). • Supervise the installation & the acceptance of 3rd party work related to connecting home passed users prior to customer provisioning. • Provision service to end customer premises. • Carrying out patching at Telecom room or multiple locations. • Fill in technical link test reports. • Report back any links which are faulty to NOC discovered during provisioning. • Ensure that all acceptance forms are duly filled & signed. • Carrying out disconnection work orders. • Coordination with customers operations supervisor for jeopardy management. • Coordination with NOC/Help desk for accessing CO & TR locations. • Prepare daily reports on provisioning activities.
