CORROSION ENGINEER Job - Huxley Associates Jun 6th 2012, 09:44 LOCATION: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia PACKAGE: SAR 20K-30K pm + housing + transport Residential Role. OVERVIEW: Corrosion Engineer with a Chemical Engineering Degree required to work in 2 refineries in Saudi. ROLE: -Integrity Services in Cathodic protection system and coating inspection activities. Responsible for the implementation of all technical integrity design and maintenance of Cathodic Protection and coating procedures as well as the coordination of all major surveys and mitigation programs with Asset Integrity Management. -Designs, plans, and supervises all major surveys, monitoring, analyses, findings and recommendations. -Provides the technical expertise in the management and maintenance of Cathodic protection and coating systems. -Carries out regular Cathodic protection system monitoring and calibrations and evaluates Cathodic protection performance. -Prepares regular report highlighting area of concern and suggest corrective action.Performs interference testing, and recommends, oversees installation, and performs reviews on as-built drawings for needed Cathodic protection facilities. -Collects and interprets data, and prepares reports of a variety of projects. Reviews design of Cathodic protection systems as well as reviews preliminary data, discusses objectives and expectations, and suggests appropriate engineering methods and procedures, -Ensures that required Painting/ Coating procedures are used in compliance with required specifications and verifies that all coatings and paintings applicators are qualified to perform according to the required specifications.
