Job Description

My client is a global service company that commands a dominant reputation within the Oil and Gas market. They have global operation/projects with office sites all over the world. Leap 29 is presenting a very sought after career opportunity for an expert Rock Physicist to be based in their UK office. Applicants with the following skills and experience are welcome to apply at the earliest opportunity: Essential Job Experience: Well log analysis and petrophysics: log editing, shear prediction, fluid substitution and generation of petrophysical logs Rock physics modelling: generation, analysis and validation of rock physics models using acoustic and elastic properties and reservoir properties. Inversion: Modeling, classification and inversion for lithology fluid and porosity classification and reservoir characterization Pore pressure modeling and prediction Good technical background in the following: Petrophysics and Geophysics Qualifications: 5+ years experience Education Requirements: Required: Bachelor's Degree gained at an accredited University/Institute Preferred: Master's Degree gained at an accredited University/Institute Applicant Requirements: Well log analysis Petrophysics Rock Physics Modelling Rock Property Inversion Seismic Reservoir Characterization Project Management: Ensure tasks or projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality Accurate and timely reporting of project status and timesheets if appropriate Training & Development: Mentor junior staff Technical: Keep abreast of technological advances in your own and related disciplines. Establish and maintain close contacts within the technical community Disseminate technical information via internal and external professional meetings and conferences Sales & Marketing: Support tender preparation Report all opportunities for new sales or increased scope of existing projects.
