Our Client - Is a global oilfield service and products provider to the offshore oil and gas industry focussing on deepwater applications.
Job Description - Ensure agreed inspection strategies, procedures, standards and plans are implemented and completed by Site Based Personnel and any failures, variations and amendments are fed back into the Company Technical Integrity Team and the Client representative. Review and approve Inspection deferral/postponement requests.
Maintain direct and regular contact with Client and Company Asset Teams in order to ensure an effective Inspection Service. Specifically input into shutdowns and programmes to ensure inspection requirements are clearly identified and scheduled.
Conduct periodic reviews and endorsement of inspection reports to ensure they comply with the relevant standards. Instigate appropriate remedial action for any non-compliance and ensure that inspection frequencies are aligned with client standards.
Co-ordinate and action results from associated failure investigations/significant anomalies.
Coordinate and participate in periodic plant and equipment RBA/Authoritative reviews in order to maximise plant availability. Ensure the effective application of new techniques, technologies and use of specialist NDT contractor to limit intrusive inspection so to maximise inspection intervals, where appropriate.
Provide guidance and/or direction to Company support personnel and contractors involved in the supply, progress and organisation of services to the ICM contract.
Liaise with third parties such as related service providers, Verification bodies etc. to ensure the client business objectives are achieved.
Manage the CTR (Cost, Time & Resource) process, and assist in budget preparation.
Candidate Requirements - Degree in Engineering related discipline preferably chartered.
Lesser qualifications will be accepted provided exceptional experience in inspection engineering can be demonstrated. Minimum 10 years in the field of plant and equipment inspection. Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of design, manufacture, materials, corrosion, welding, codes, standards and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment, Must be familiar with QA/QC practices, NDE Techniques. Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator.
