Mechanical Technician Job - Qatar Vinyl Company LTD May 9th 2012, 09:35 Objective and Purpose of Position Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in performing the maintenance activities of all the mechanical equipment and installations. Duties and Responsibilities • Assist the Mechanical Supervisor in execution of maintenance jobs. • Carry out the mechanical maintenance and installations jobs in a safe and efficient manner. • Report to the Mechanical Supervisor on the progress of maintenance activities.. • To analyse abnormal conditions and recommend remedial actions. • To guide and help other technicians within the Section in performing their jobs to the optimum professional level. • To help in assisting national trainees whenever what is required by the Mechanical Supervisor. • To look into possible improvement in the plant maintenance and propose this to the Mechanical Supervisor or Engineer. • To maintain the safety awareness and practice between its colleagues. • To understand and work within the framework of the QVC maintenance policy • To understand and work within the framework of the QVC safety and environmental policy • May participate in the 24-our Call Duty roster. • Adequate awareness of the QVC quality, safety and environmental management system. • May act in the Mechanical Supervisor position during his absence.
