JOB PURPOSE:
Responsibility for the development and Implementation of the company's safety strategy ensuring the safety program becomes sustainable in line with overall business objectives. To support the senior team and other team members in achieving outstanding safety results as measured through safety audits. Responsible for providing a pro-active Occupational Health service ensuring employee health is not adversely affected by any associated work risks.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Full responsibility for setting and implementing the safety program for all plants and warehouses.
Lead, organize and priorities the sites safety program.
Provide support to the management team in driving the safety agenda by providing expertise.
Advise on site projects at design/commission/implementation to ensure compliance with CDM/ relevant legislation.
Ensure all management systems are fully maintained, risks and trends identified and all appropriate action taken.
Perform ERP audits across all sites, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the system in all sites and control programs and activities to insure that those program goals are achieved.
Management of the Occupational Health Program including absence management /return to work /rehabilitation program.
Management of emergency program i.e. fire, first aid decisions based on needs analysis.
Support the safety action teams to ensure employee ownership.
Management of the total risk assessment program to ensure legislative /company requirements are met and identify the risk factors that contribute to losses and the strategies and resources needed to eliminate or control these risk factors.
Contribute to the development of the Saudi Snack Foods safety strategy.
Developing, coordinating and sponsoring responsive health and safety training programs for employees, supervisors and managers.
Knowledge of operations processes.
Ability to influence behavior of peers/FLEs without direct reporting relationship.
Knowledge of legal requirements of Health & Safety at Work.
